Major Moscow's Assaults Disrupt Electricity Across Ukraine's Capital

Power facilities under attack in the region
The country's energy systems have come under escalating strikes in recent weeks

During the night, Moscow's aerial assaults have caused power cuts in multiple districts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

Nine people were hurt while residents in eastern neighborhoods were left without electricity and faced disruption to water systems, per reports from city officials.

At the same time, a minor was killed in a separate Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southeastern part, according to local officials.

Russian forces has escalated attacks on power infrastructure over the past few days, while officials has demanded "substantial measures" from international partners to apply pressure on Moscow.

"The necessity is not window dressing but strong steps - from the US, the EU and the Group of Seven - in delivering protection systems and implementing penalties," was stated in a public message.

Officials stated that numerous aerial vehicles and over thirty rockets targeted energy facilities, labeling such assaults as "premeditated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as winter approaches.

The energy minister said Russia was "conducting extensive attacks" and maintenance teams were laboring to restore power.

A series of attacks struck energy infrastructure and apartment buildings in Kyiv.

Five out of the nine people hurt in the attacks on the city have been taken to hospital, per statements from municipal representatives.

Local officials said the metropolitan region came under intense attacks during nighttime hours. A minor was killed and three other people were injured.

The assaults come after evenings of air raids in the territory, parts of which are occupied by Moscow's military.

The whole nation is in a state of readiness for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are harder to spot.

Government officials told the media that Russia was deliberately attempting to demolish the electrical infrastructure, with strikes already disrupting energy systems.

Authorities confirmed energy workers and government agencies were preparing for further attacks.
